Hi my name is Farina Thompson,

I’m the maternal and biological grandmother to 5 adorable and wonderful boys that have been in the Oklahoma foster care system, since March 2 2006. I’ve had a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THE OKLAHOMA DHS & THE OKLAHOMA FAMILY COURT SYSTEM.. “NIGHTMARE” “HORRIBLE”

There needs to be changes in the Oklahoma family court system and that of the Oklahoma foster care system as well.

From the experience that I’ve had with that State and the persons involved with my grandchildren’s case- once being taken by the system, has been handled unprofessionally.

Oklahoma Corruption! Change is NEEDED/ A MUST!!

If nothing is done about the way that this state are handling their cases! Destroying children and families lives.

How Oklahoma are alienating and isolating the children from their family with out any visitation and phone contact – Woudn’t you say that’s cruelty right there? That’s exactly what has happen to me and my grandchildren.

The Associate District Judge allowed that to take place in his courtroom! In the first place! The state has allowed those involved with the children case to implement their personal feeling and hold grudges to the most serious and devious degree — such as in my case deny me across the board in everything I have done to get my grandchildren out of the Oklahoma Foster Care System!

To this day my grandsons they remain in the Oklahoma Foster Care System! And I have no contact with them. None at all what so ever, except through letters- however I don’t believe they are receiving them.

Changes does need to be implemented to save the many children that are in the Oklahoma Foster Care System. Including my own grand-babies!

Oklahoma Department of Human Services definitely needs to be OVER-HAULED. Re-structuring from the ground up. Foster Care System in Oklahoma is out of control! Children are taken out of their homes and put into “foster care ? Certified homes – supposedly and yet our children are damaged and traumatized beyond belief. Worst – Far worst than the initial reason for taking the children out of their homes from the start!!

It’s going to be even worst then this in the years to come. God Forbid this continuous tragedy to continue. It’s already have caused more pain and deaths than ever..

Changes are needed NOW! and Have been for a long – time to come!

The legislatures are dragging their feet! They have ignored the problem for to long. They only pick up the pace when – there are High Profile Cases, and they hit the News Circuit! It’s at that time! and only then that they have to step up – But! It’s not until then! Why? Why?

It shouldn’t have to take a DEATH! Before anyone is willing to “Do the Noble and Right Thing ?” Where is the JUSTICE? FOR ALL AND ALL THOSE CHILDREN THAT HAVE BEEN TAKEN AND NOT RETURNED TO THOSE FAMILIES. But! Yet! Being adopted out and the States making a huge profit.!!

Including my grandsons!

I have been denied straight across the board from everything that I have tried to do and brought forth to the Oklahoma Family Court and the Oklahoma Department of Human Services — Foster Care Division.

That includes my relocating from Reno Nevada to Oklahoma City Oklahoma, as well, even before then! The plane flights to and from Oklahoma before I finally decided to move to Oklahoma. I made that move back in 2008. I was there for 3 1/2 years. Now!!

Grandmother! Denied! Not Once! Not Twice! Not Three Times! But, Everything!!

Petition to Adopt my Grandchildren – It was stated My grandchildren weren’t Adoptable

My visitation with my grandchildren – Never were regular visitations! 2-16-2010 last time I saw them.

Deny my grandsons the right to call ME! Their Grandmother!

Now! moved to California and My ICPC have been DENIED!

Judge states That I am not to get my grandchildren! Regardless, Grandmother Sanctioned! According to DHS Supervisor Allison Johnson — Therefore ICPC will not be processed!!! That took place May of this year 2012.

Now! My grandchildren are being adopted out as if they have no family and or love-ones, and description states that they have no siblings…

Oklahoma has denied me the right to be in my grandchildren’s lives! They have stolen 6 years from us that we will never be able to get back. My grandsons are going to school. I’m not apart of any of that. Nothing! That’s Wrong!! Oklahoma took that from us and it has scarred this family! My grandsons have been damaged, traumatized and scarred because of this Foster Care Abduction! And their Refusal and denial to return my grandchildren to me.

I love my grandsons! They are wanted, very much loved and truly missed! Right to this day! I have their rooms ready!– I’m not giving up! I’m not giving up! My grandsons are Melvin- he’s 15, will be 16 in December, Michael- he’s 13, Mizael- he’s 12, Teriq- he’s 11 and Eric- he’s 8 years of age. My grandsons have grew up in the system for the past 6 years. Without continuous contact with their maternal and biological grandmother, who wants them and will never quit fighting for them.

My grandchildren’s face are posted on the Oklahoma Adoption Website and the National Adoption Website. Big as day. That’s wrong! Truly Wrong and An In-just! I have been there fighting for my grandchildren– My grandchildren! They are LOVED- WANTED- AND MISSED. It’s not a day that goes by that I don’t wonder about them and worry about them! Wanting to know how they are doing! What’s going on with them! Are they eating and are they being treated right.? Just Everything!

I have traveled with this case all out of love for my precious grandsons. From Nevada to Oklahoma to California. I’m a caring and loving grandmother, that’s not going to throw in the towel. I know that I am right! I am a woman that am family oriented and my grandchildren are apart of me. They have my blood flowing through their veins. I am going to make sure that – This Corruption- Dirty Work out of Oklahoma will not be swept under the rug or forgotten about!

My grandchildren, they are not forgotten! Surely Not! Definitely! They aren’t left behind! They have a grandmother that will not give up on them and let Oklahoma get away with this devious , deception and corruption and injustice!!!

Oklahoma Foster Care!

Oklahoma DHS/Foster Care right from the beginning has treated my grandchildren’s case unprofessional. My grandchildren’s rights were violated! Oklahoma didn’t care about my grandchildren! All that they were interested in was the title 4 funding! For sure they kept my grandchildren and me apart. That was just horrible!

Oklahoma denied me– Every thing! Every thing! It didn’t matter that I relocated from Sparks Nevada!!!! Also that I rented a huge enough house for all of my grandchildren. Yes I did that! Even after a CASA worker inspected my house and gave her approval I was still denied!!

I haven’t heard my grandchildren’s voice! I have not been able to hug my precious grandchildren, nothing! Just so emotional and painfulness! I tell you. It’s not been easy at all. Oklahoma has been so cruel and evil. It’s been  very challenging, hard and so difficult.

My grandchildren should have been home by now! But! Unfortunately they remain in the foster care system.  Because of the evil and devious, and cold-blooded actions of the Oklahoma DHS. Just HORRIBLE!

The State of Oklahoma has treated me terribly wrong! All i want is my precious grandchildren out of the foster care system! Oklahoma is the worst place to ever get your love-ones taken, just awful, so terrible!

Oklahoma will not let my grandsons  talk to me or respond to any of my letters that i send them! I haven’t seen my grandsons since 2-16-2010 Oklahoma is so wrong! This is truly a living Nightmare! Truly March 2 2006 was the day that changed my life forever!! it’s been a challenge!!!!

Oklahoma DHS Case# JD-06-180; KIDS# 20347104; MARCH 2 2006

Hello Everyone!

Hi I am Farina Thompson, grandmother to 5 precious and adorable grandsons, that were taken by the State of Oklahoma DHS/ foster care unit, some nearly 6 years ago on March 2 2006. My life and the lives of my grandchildren as well as the rest of our loving family will never be the same. Our lives have been shattered! The Hell that this agency – Oklahoma Department of Human Services/ Foster Care Division has put our family through has been incomprehensible. Just wrong! It’s an Injustice!

The Oklahoma Family Court System has failed my grandchildren. My grandchildren are in the system, going from one placement to the other because the system has failed my precious grandchildren. Isn’t it about Family? Helping the families and the children? It’s about strengthening the American Families! Not eliminating and destroying them!

My grandchildren, til this day remains in the Oklahoma DHS foster care system, they are suffering and has endured so much, while being alienated and isolated from their family and love ones. My grandchildren’s case – Oklahoma DHS/ Foster Care Case hasn’t been handled – processed correctly. It’s not been professionally processed. It’s Just Wrong! Wrong! You Hear Me? It’s Just An Injustice!

I’m here on this media site to let everyone know of what’s going on here in “The Good Ole Boy State” (from what I’ve been told of this name for this state) The State of Oklahoma.

I’ve written several articles before! I will continue to put this out there, til someone will take an interest, because this is very important, especially for me and my dear grandchildren! We have been treated wrong! But not only for us. It’s so many children that’s in the foster care system that doesn’t have anyone to go to bat for them. No one to speak for them.  I feel from my own experience of having dealt with Oklahoma DHS – fighting for my 5 oldest grandsons. That this is a form of slavery – literally. Let me explain my reasoning for saying that!

1. First of all when the State government takes your love -ones and do away with them as they please with no insight of family member requesting to have the children placed with them, to get them out of the system.

2. The State government refuses to let the children have visitation from their biological grandmother.

3. The child has no contact with the family what so ever  except through letters from their grandmother.

4. The children aren’t allowed to write to their family or call them.

5. The Judge refuses to order DHS agency to do a home-study.

6. The State agency denies the children their right to remain in contact with their family.

7. The State agency labels the children and put them on medication so strong that it affects the child.

8. I’ve contacted many political officials at the Oklahoma State Capitol no one would help or take an interest in my request.

9. Foster Care is Big Business -Big Money $$– Straight Revenue.

10. The Case workers – CASA Worker(s) – therapists – The Judge- Judge Richard W Kirby – DHS Attorney – Even some foster parents are in the circle to interrupt the reunification of the children with their family.

11. Oklahoma DHS has requested and been given approval by the Judge – Judge Kirby;  to keep me out of court from further proceedings to get my grandsons out of foster care, this took place in February 2011.

Everything that I have just mentioned has happened to me  in the Oklahoma Family Court under the Direction of the Associate District Judge Richard W Kirby.

Since I have been here in the State of Oklahoma, I’ve been told that this state doesn’t have Grandparents Rights! No One from what I can tell even wants to here anything about Grandparents Having rights to their Grandchildren. That’s especially true when the children are in the custody of the State. I have been preaching the Grandparents Rights Speech for the longest. However I haven’t gotten anywhere!

I am my grandchildren’s biological and maternal Grandparent. I am all they have out here in the State of Oklahoma. You see! I moved out to the midwest solely because of the DHS involvement in our lives. We have no family out here in Oklahoma. I only came out to this side of the map to take care of this matter with the Oklahoma DHS. They have my grandchildren my precious grandsons, Which they just don’t want to return them to our family.

My grandsons, they have had over 10 social workers; my grandchildren they are all separated; my grandchildren are on medications and they have been labeled. My grandsons are in both groups homes and foster homes. They are shuffled and shafted around in the foster care system just being bounced around like ping-pong balls. All the while being alienated and isolated from their family and love ones, their maternal and biological grandmother, which relocated from Reno Nevada.

I haven’t heard my grandsons voices since February 16 2010, nor have I hugged them or kissed. The last time I saw my grandsons was on that date of February 16 2010. Children alienation and isolation from their family is wrong! The children are already traumatized as it is from being in Foster Care. Don’t you think? I think that’s really cruel for the state and the family court judge to do this to my grandchildren, our family. Frankly It’s just wrong period, for any child to be alienated and isolated from their family while in the states foster care system.

I know every case is different! I am aware of that! But when the state has no reason to keep the grandmother away from her biological grandchildren for reasons just to satisfy the persons personal grudge against the Grandmother! I’m talking about me! Because that’s what is going on here in the case of my grandchildren.

Oklahoma family court judge Richard W Kirby, DHS Tara Bone, DHS Director Howard Hendrick, DHS Case Worker Betty Cosgrave- Camacho, DHS County Director Deloris Ferguson, and there are so many others involved with this case. DHS Attorney Jane Brown, DHS Public Defender for the children Ryan Hauser,  all of these individuals are of affiliation with Oklahoma DHS.

I have so much paper work. Just files and files. I keep record and documentation on everything. This state has done so much wrong in the case of my grandsons. My grandsons should have been home by now. But Because of how they operate and to me they Make their laws as they go. Huh! Oklahoma is an awful state to get your grandchildren or love-ones taken. This place is terrible! My grandsons have suffered tremendously. I am feeling their pain too.

No one can imagine what I have gone through and continue to go through! The lost of my grandchildren and fighting for them. Not giving up Hope!  For sure this is a LIVING NIGHTMARE! That’s without a doubt! Not being able to hug your grandbabies or love ones, not being able to see them or even being able to be apart of their lives. This is a TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF PAIN AND SUFFERING!!!!

To all of you that have read this. Please pass it around for others to view if they are interested. Foster Care Isn’t a place for children, especially if they have family and love-ones to take them in. No-one can and will love and take care of your children and family like you can and will. Children deserves to be with their family members and not in the foster care system floating and bouncing around. How the judge will not authorise and order Oklahoma DHS to give me a Home- Study to prove my home is Fit and qualified for my grandchildren to come home!  My grandbabies! My grandbabies! OH! Lord! That’s not right! Family is the most important part of the children. Without family! Who do you have? Oklahoma has done me and my grandchildren wrong! The people handling my grandsons case are not right! From the Judge on down.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read what I have to say about the terrible problem of foster care; and how the State of Oklahoma are treating my grandchildren in foster care and continues to alienate them from me and our family. My precious grandsons have been traumatized and emotionally damaged from this injustice. They have been taken away from their family and not allowed to have contact with us.

Laws need to be changed! At this rate so many children will be lost. As the children grow up and age out of the system. They are kicked out and have no place to go. By then they have no contact with their biological family. But the government seems to think it’s fine and ok. But they have gotten paid big money for housing them, labeling them and god knows what else the children suffer behind closed doors of the foster care system. Oklahoma DHS has not done their job! They are keeping my grandchildren from me! They have lied and falsified documents to look good in court. Oklahoma DHS are a horrible group of individuals! That’s my opinion. From what I’ve experienced! These folks are cold-hearted and heartless. Half of them if not more are in the wrong field of employment, for sure!!!

Please pray for me and my grandsons that we will be reunited. Keep us in your prayers. It’s truly appreciated!

Grandmother persecuted

 

There’s so many nick names that our grandchildren has for calling us as grandparents. There’s hundred of names that so many grandchildren calls their loving grandma and grandpa.

When the DHS DIRECTOR- HOWARD HENDRICK, DHS SUPERVISOR- TARA J BONE, DHS DA- JANE BROWN, and the ASSOCIATE DISTRICT JUDGE RICHARD W KIRBY, lose their way to do the right thing. Then that brings about corruption. It is about the children and getting them out of the system as fast and soon as possible.

5 years to bring closure to a case it very damaging to my babies. Because my grandsons, they know that Grandma is here. That’s not right at all! It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

My grandsons are loved, wanted and missed by all of our family. They have a loving home to come to.

I have relocated over 1800+ miles to be close to my boys, and to have regular visits with them.

The state has taken that away. From the beginning there were never any regular visits.

They have kept my grandsons away from me and they haven’t had any phone calls either.

Family reunification is the key and yet, As they stress it so much. Why are my grandchildren not home yet?

I have a 3 bedroom 2 bath 2 car garage home and it is over 2,000 square feet. I’ve more than enough space for my grandsons. This is wrong.

Everyone knows how rough it is for children to be left in foster care. Especially any length of time.

There is a very big problem and something needs to be done about it!

I just want my grandchildren out of the foster care system. That’s all i want is for them to be home back in my arms. With loving family as i am here and will not stop my journey to get them home.

There are Statutes and the Oklahoma Administrative Codes that aren’t being enforced. My grandchildren should have been home many moons ago.

Our civil rights and human rights has been violated. My grandbabies has been victimized by the system as well as our whole family.

I’ve spent many countless hours on the internet searching for case information, and to learn as much as i can about foster care and case-law in regards to grandchildren and grandparents. Just all issues dealing with family court judges and getting educated about the players involved with my grandsons case.

I have asked for help from many agencies, knocked on may doors, sent hundreds of faxes, and rung a many telephones, because what it going on here in the State of Oklahoma isn’t justice at all, not for along shot.

These persons that are in a position to destroy families and many children’s lives are cold-hearted folks. They think that they are untouchable. They are above the law. So to speak and by that they can abuse their authority. In the mean time can leave a trail of destruction.

It’s supposed to be about the children, In my grandsons case. That is no longer the priority. As i see it. They are focusing on me. I’m just a loving and caring grandmother, that refuses to give in to them, so that they can do what they want with my grandsons.

I’ve been targeted, and this is now a racist issue, a personal vendetta.

The Judge – Richard W Kirby, DA – Jane Brown, DHS Supervisor – Tara J Bone, and DHS Director – Howard Hendrick – has lost their way of processing and now has made it even more difficult on my grandsons, by not giving me my grandsons.

Priority should be – family reunification. Family connection and bonding. Not destroying the children’s lives. The court system and dhs has alienated me grandbabies. We haven’t seen each other in quite some time now.

My grandbabies, they all know how much i love and miss them. The family courts know that I love and miss my grandbabies. This is tragedy and emotional painful for us.

Everyone as mentioned before, they are going home every night to their babies, grandbabies, and look forward to seeing them as they walk through the door. How would they feel, If they couldn’t see their babies, or granddbabies little faces? How would they feel to be going through this ordeal as me and my grandbabies?

It’s a nightmare! A real life Horror! I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

As of 12/2009 I was denied all access to court documentation in regards to my grandsons case. I have not been allowed to receive any court papers, showing the up coming court dates. It’s only been by word of mouth. That’s not good enough.

Anyway I’m asking everyone to please pray for me and my grandchildren. We have been going through this for some time now. My grandchildren and our family has been victimized by the Oklahoma Family Court and Oklahoma DHS.

We as grandparents has that special bond of connection with our grandchildren. Being in our grandbabies lives are so valuable for them and us as that role model to our little ones.

Here in the state of Oklahoma where I have been for the past 2.5 – 3 years, out of love for my precious grandsons. I am being persecuted because I am fighting for my grandchildren. I will not shut up about the exposure of what’s taking place in the oklahoma family court.

My grandsons have been in the foster care system since March 2 2006. I’m the only one that’s fighting for them. We are a family and they are close to my heart. We are blood.

This is a living nightmare for me and my family.

I’m concerned about my grandsons that’s in the Oklahoma Foster Care States System. This is un called for. When children has been taken by the state, they should be trying everything to place the children with their biological family members. Here i am their maternal and biological grandmother. What they do is hinder the process. This case has been dragged out for 5 years. March 2 2011 will be five years.

I am not a felon, never been to prison. I am all that these children has to appear in court.

It’s about family and children, to be reunited to end this horrible tragedy. It’s supposed to be. You’d think.
