Hi my name is Farina Thompson,

I’m the maternal and biological grandmother to 5 adorable and wonderful boys that have been in the Oklahoma foster care system, since March 2 2006. I’ve had a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THE OKLAHOMA DHS & THE OKLAHOMA FAMILY COURT SYSTEM.. “NIGHTMARE” “HORRIBLE”

There needs to be changes in the Oklahoma family court system and that of the Oklahoma foster care system as well.

From the experience that I’ve had with that State and the persons involved with my grandchildren’s case- once being taken by the system, has been handled unprofessionally.

Oklahoma Corruption! Change is NEEDED/ A MUST!!

If nothing is done about the way that this state are handling their cases! Destroying children and families lives.

How Oklahoma are alienating and isolating the children from their family with out any visitation and phone contact – Woudn’t you say that’s cruelty right there? That’s exactly what has happen to me and my grandchildren.

The Associate District Judge allowed that to take place in his courtroom! In the first place! The state has allowed those involved with the children case to implement their personal feeling and hold grudges to the most serious and devious degree — such as in my case deny me across the board in everything I have done to get my grandchildren out of the Oklahoma Foster Care System!

To this day my grandsons they remain in the Oklahoma Foster Care System! And I have no contact with them. None at all what so ever, except through letters- however I don’t believe they are receiving them.

Changes does need to be implemented to save the many children that are in the Oklahoma Foster Care System. Including my own grand-babies!

Oklahoma Department of Human Services definitely needs to be OVER-HAULED. Re-structuring from the ground up. Foster Care System in Oklahoma is out of control! Children are taken out of their homes and put into “foster care ? Certified homes – supposedly and yet our children are damaged and traumatized beyond belief. Worst – Far worst than the initial reason for taking the children out of their homes from the start!!

It’s going to be even worst then this in the years to come. God Forbid this continuous tragedy to continue. It’s already have caused more pain and deaths than ever..

Changes are needed NOW! and Have been for a long – time to come!

The legislatures are dragging their feet! They have ignored the problem for to long. They only pick up the pace when – there are High Profile Cases, and they hit the News Circuit! It’s at that time! and only then that they have to step up – But! It’s not until then! Why? Why?

It shouldn’t have to take a DEATH! Before anyone is willing to “Do the Noble and Right Thing ?” Where is the JUSTICE? FOR ALL AND ALL THOSE CHILDREN THAT HAVE BEEN TAKEN AND NOT RETURNED TO THOSE FAMILIES. But! Yet! Being adopted out and the States making a huge profit.!!

Including my grandsons!

I have been denied straight across the board from everything that I have tried to do and brought forth to the Oklahoma Family Court and the Oklahoma Department of Human Services — Foster Care Division.

That includes my relocating from Reno Nevada to Oklahoma City Oklahoma, as well, even before then! The plane flights to and from Oklahoma before I finally decided to move to Oklahoma. I made that move back in 2008. I was there for 3 1/2 years. Now!!

Grandmother! Denied! Not Once! Not Twice! Not Three Times! But, Everything!!

My visitation with my grandchildren – Never were regular visitations! 2-16-2010 last time I saw them.

Deny my grandsons the right to call ME! Their Grandmother!

Now! moved to California and My ICPC have been DENIED!

Judge states That I am not to get my grandchildren! Regardless, Grandmother Sanctioned! According to DHS Supervisor Allison Johnson — Therefore ICPC will not be processed!!! That took place May of this year 2012.

Now! My grandchildren are being adopted out as if they have no family and or love-ones, and description states that they have no siblings…

Oklahoma has denied me the right to be in my grandchildren’s lives! They have stolen 6 years from us that we will never be able to get back. My grandsons are going to school. I’m not apart of any of that. Nothing! That’s Wrong!! Oklahoma took that from us and it has scarred this family! My grandsons have been damaged, traumatized and scarred because of this Foster Care Abduction! And their Refusal and denial to return my grandchildren to me.

I love my grandsons! They are wanted, very much loved and truly missed! Right to this day! I have their rooms ready!– I’m not giving up! I’m not giving up! My grandsons are Melvin- he’s 15, will be 16 in December, Michael- he’s 13, Mizael- he’s 12, Teriq- he’s 11 and Eric- he’s 8 years of age. My grandsons have grew up in the system for the past 6 years. Without continuous contact with their maternal and biological grandmother, who wants them and will never quit fighting for them.

My grandchildren’s face are posted on the Oklahoma Adoption Website and the National Adoption Website. Big as day. That’s wrong! Truly Wrong and An In-just! I have been there fighting for my grandchildren– My grandchildren! They are LOVED- WANTED- AND MISSED. It’s not a day that goes by that I don’t wonder about them and worry about them! Wanting to know how they are doing! What’s going on with them! Are they eating and are they being treated right.? Just Everything!

I have traveled with this case all out of love for my precious grandsons. From Nevada to Oklahoma to California. I’m a caring and loving grandmother, that’s not going to throw in the towel. I know that I am right! I am a woman that am family oriented and my grandchildren are apart of me. They have my blood flowing through their veins. I am going to make sure that – This Corruption- Dirty Work out of Oklahoma will not be swept under the rug or forgotten about!

My grandchildren, they are not forgotten! Surely Not! Definitely! They aren’t left behind! They have a grandmother that will not give up on them and let Oklahoma get away with this devious , deception and corruption and injustice!!!

My grandchildren – They know me! I’ve always been in their lives. It’s a shame for the way that the State Of Oklahoma has done my grandsons.

I came forth as a grandmother to do the right thing and being responsible to get my grandchildren out of the Oklahoma Foster Care System. It doesn’t make any sense in how these people are completely clueless in the family structure.

It’s about the children, Right? If that was the case then my precious grandchildren would have been home by now. It’s been since 2006.  6 long years!! It’s an injustice the way these people has treated this case.

You’d think that the family  courts and Oklahoma DHS  would be on board with Grandma, wanting her grandsons. That would be best for the children! But! know not Oklahoma! They have dragged this case out so long. I don’t see the logic in that at all. My grandsons have been shuffled around and bounced from one placement to the other.

Recently, I have found my grandsons photo on the Oklahoma Adoption Website and the National Adoption Website, as if they don’t have any family members, that want them. That’s crazy! If that’s not bad enough, on the children’s bio — It states that they have no other siblings. That’s so cruel and mean!

I have not given up on my grandchildren! I will continue to fight for justice, my grandchildren shouldn’t be on the waiting list to be adopted out! Also!  I continue to write my grandsons, though I don’t believe that they are getting their letters. My grandsons are loved, wanted and missed. They have a loving family!

2010 Feb 16, was the last time that I saw my grandsons. It’s painful and stressful. I continuously worry about my grandsons! Wondering how they are doing! Where there at! My grandchildren are growing up in the Oklahoma Foster Care System, when they don’t have to or need to. This is a terrible act! Such an injustice!

I came forward to get my grandchildren and this is how I have been treated. From relocating from Reno Nev to Okc Ok then from Oklahoma to California.  I don’t need not one red cent to provide for and to take care of my grandsons. This has been an emotional journey! Very challenging!

I just think about my grandsons in the system and how long they have been in there. Every thing I’ve done has been shot down, denied and or refused! I have never seen anything like this! It’s about the children! So! As a loving and kind grandmother, It was only right to do the right thing and stand up for my grandchildren!

Oklahoma! What they do? Put my grandchildren up for adoption! When they know that I want my grandsons. That I have the money to raise them and nurture and guide them. My grandsons up for Adoption! That hurts deeply down to the core!

It’s one thing to take the children in the first place! Then it’s even more frustrating when they won’t let you see them. Not even phone calls, or school pictures. I’m their maternal and biological grandmother. Excruciating Pain! Truly Emotional!

Since, moving to California, I’ve submitted an ICPC, to have my grandsons transferred out here to California; So I could get them home with me.. Well that has been denied! It’s not right at all! The presiding Judge has refused to let go of my grandchildren. He will not give them to me. Instead! He, is determined to give them away in adoption, like they have no one or that none of the family wants them! That’s so wrong!! That’s truly devastating and emotional! My grandchildren! They shouldn’t be adopted out.

Oklahoma DHS talks about strengthening the families and Building Strong Families. Well this isn’t it ! Strengthening families and building strong families don’t mean adopting them out.. This for sure isn’t a sign of helping the children and making the family unit stronger. Not by a long shot. This is an injustice!

My grandchildren are loved, wanted and missed! They are not forgotten! No they aren’t!

Two Agencies, Oklahoma Family Court and The Oklahoma DHS

Two agencies! The Oklahoma Family Court! and The Oklahoma DHS!

 This is my story! My  painful and emotional story of how the state of Oklahoma have failed my grandchildren and our family. Because of this my dear and precious grandchildren have been in the foster care system for the past 6 long years. Medicated. Alienated. and Isolated from their family with absolute no contact except through letters that I hope that they are getting them. For it is my on communication that I have with my precious grandsons.

These agencies have not performed as promised. Because of their negligent and unprofessional behavior my grandchildren have remained in the Oklahoma Department of Human Service Foster Care System for the past 6 years. Medicated, Alienated and Isolated from our family. This has been a violation of their rights, my grandchildren rights as a client in the States foster care system.

My grandchildren haven’t seen me, I’m their maternal and biological grandmother! They haven’t seen me since February 2010! That’s emotional to my grandchildren! Not only that it’s wrong! it’s an injustice! Totally a violation of my grandchildren rights due them.

My rights as a grandparent! According to those here in Oklahoma, of the Oklahoma DHS, I have no rights as a grandparent! So because the state will not honor my rights as a Grandparent! I have not had any success with this state in getting my grandchildren out of the foster care system.

The Oklahoma Department of Human Services will not give me any information on my grandchildren what so ever! They will not tell me anything in regards to my grandchildren! They have not helped me in any way to reunite with my grandsons! This is wrong! How this state! The state of Oklahoma has treated me and my family!

From the Oklahoma Family Court Judge- Judge Kirby on down to the Oklahoma DHS agency! This has been a living nightmare! Just horrible! My grandchildren have been in the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Foster Care Division for the longest time! 6 long years! That’s awful! Just an injustice!

I am the children’s maternal and biological grandmother! I am their family! I love them with all my heart!  I am not a felon! I am financially established! I don’t need one red cent to care and raise my precious grandchildren! I am a Veteran! I am mature, responsible and willing and able to take care of my grandchildren. I have a 3 bedroom home that’s over 2,000 square feet. Yet! Judge Richard Kirby will not order the Oklahoma DHS to do a Home Study of my home! It’s supposed to be about the children! If that’s true why aren’t my grandchildren HOME?

Children deserve to be with family and not strangers! My grandchildren have suffered too much from being in the Oklahoma foster care system. This is all because of the actions of the family court judge Richard W Kirby and the Initial case worker, which she is now the Supervisor by the name of Tara J Bone of the Oklahoma DHS, located on 7201 NW 10th Street here in Oklahoma City, Ok 73127.

This is not Justice! Oklahoma Family Court and Oklahoma Department of Human Services foster Care Division are Corrupted..  They do what they want!  My grandchildren have suffered and they continue to suffer by the hands of this State of Oklahoma and  their employee who have neglected those who they are serving!!

It’s not right for these people who holds these positions to be free to do what they want with families and their love ones. Because of this  my grandchildren have been away from our family and floating in the foster care system. Medicated, Alienated and Isolated! It all began on March 2 2006.

I just want my grandchildren home! To hug them! To hold them! To kiss them! To comfort them! To be in their life! 

Please! Pray for me and my family! That my grandchildren will be home soon, for  this awful tragedy will be over soon, that my grandchildren will ber reunited soon! To be back home with family where they are loved, wanted and missed. Truly they are not forgotten!

 I have 5 adorable and precious grandsons, that are in the Oklahoma Foster Care System. They have been in there for the past 6 years, since March 2 2006. It has been a long hard and emotional time for our family. My dear grandsons have been away from the family far to long!From Day one of my grandchildren being taken by the Oklahoma DHS Foster Care System, it has been nothing but problems with that agency. My  grandchildren hasn’t had any regular family visits nor have they been able to see me their matenal and biological grandmother on a regular basis. My precious grandsons have been alienated, isolated and traumatized by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Foster Care Division.

What this state has done to me and my grandchildren, our family! It’s like something that you would see on Lifetime! This has been a living nightmare for our family! This is truly an injustice! Truly corrupt! No doubt about it! Everything that this state agency has put me and my grandsons through has been horrible, it’s been a vengence act, it’s been a personal vendetta, it’s just wrong! Plain Wrong!!

My grandsons are in the Oklahoma foster care system,  all in separate placement and in group homes as well, they are being shuffled, shafted and bounced about in the foster care system going from one placement to the other. That’s not good my grandsons! It is certainly not in the best interest of the children to be in the system being bounced around like that! I am family! I am their maternal and biological grandmother! I want my grandchildren home with me. I love my grandchildren! My grandchildren are loved, wanted and missed! They have family that love them.

It’s not right for how the Oklahoma foster care agency, those in the office that’s writing the reports and the judge how they have handled this case of my grandchildren. Judge Richard W Kirby and Oklahoma DHS Supervisor Tara Bone has been the #1 culprit in keeping me and my grandchildren apart and separated. 

The Oklahoma Family Court and Oklahoma DHS they both failed my grandchildren! The system failed! The System is Broken! Broken!

Oklahoma Family Court and Oklahoma DHS! They are supposed to be there to help the families and children, not to destroy the families and the children’s lives. Since I have been in the Oklahoma Family Court having dealings with the Oklahoma DHS! I now have a different view of how the system actually does not work! Being personally involved from being their to get my grandchildren out of the system! I have seen these folks abuse their authority with their employment position that they hold.

They have destroyed so many lives, homes and caused many, many children to have no sense of direction or how to love. Children in foster care shouldn’t be removed from their own biological family without communication during foster placement. Such as my grandchildren they know that I am in Oklahoma! However! we have not had a visit in over 2 years, since February of 2010. Now! That’s just wrong! My grandchildren they have a right to have contact visits with me! I’m their only maternal and biological grandmother!

Placement for children that’s in foster care! They should first go to family members! My grandsons! They have not had that right due to them. Also! Since my grandsons have been in the Oklahoma foste care system, they have been heavily medicated to keep them from talking and asking to go home. So while my grandsons are medicated, alienated and isolated, they still remain in the foster care system. They rights have been violated!

My grandsons should have been home by now! Not continue to be in the Oklahoma foster care system. This has been an injustice for me and my grandchildren. The system has failed them! The system has failed us as a family! This isn’t justice! This isn’t justice! My grandbabies are suffering due to the unprofessionalism of these black hearted aka cold hearted folks of the Oklahoma Family Court and the Oklahoma DHS Foster Care System. 6 years! It’s just not right!

I have traveled from Reno, Nevada to Here to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and these folks have continued to deny me my grandchildren! I have rented a nice 3 bedroom home, 2 bath, 2 car garage and it’s over 2 ,000 square feet. Fully furnished, I have done that,  and it’s ready for my grandchildren.

Yet! Judge Richard W Kirby, he’s the associate district judge, has denied everything that I presented to the courts through attorneys! From the request of the major culprit being  Tara Bone of Oklahoma DHS, she by the way was the initial case worker on the case from day one of the case- March 2 2006.

There have been a numerous amont of disturbing issues with the way that the State of Oklahoma has processed my grandsons case! One of the big ones would be that- Oklahoma DHS requested that I be no longer included in the court hearings for my grandchildren. That was on February 8 2011. That was a dirty rotten unethical and illegal act. Truly an injustice for my grandsons and our family. I have been fighting for my grandchildren and these people here in Oklahoma have not helped me to get my grandsons home. Infact! They even tried to put me in jail!  Yes! the DA, Jane Brown,  she even wanted to put me in jail! I had to get an attorney to stay out of jail. All because I have exercised and expressed my due rights by exposing what this state has done and continue to do to me and my grandchildren! How they continue to deny me my grandchildren. I just want my grandbabies out of the Oklahoma Foster Care System.

Even the judge have not ordered Oklahoma DHS to do a Home Study of my home! He has stated in court some time ago that he will not order the agency – The OKLAHOMA DHS FOSTER CARE  to do a Home Study! This is for my grandsons to get them out of the system! Yet! the Judge- The Associate District Judge Richard W Kirby will not do his job and be Just and order the HOME STUDY so that my grandsons will be returned to the family that loves them and the home where they belong. My grandsons are loved, wanted and missed!

The State Of Oklahoma – It’s Family Courts and the Oklahoma DHS foster care system has failed my grandchildren and our family! Because of this my grandsons have lost 6 years from being intact with their biological family and to this day they still remain here in the Oklahoma Department Human Services Foster Care System. They are floating in the system, just bouncing about! With no family contact with their biological family. No phone calls or contact! NO family visits! No nothing! Why because the Judge- Judge Richard W Kirby and the Oklahoma DHS-Tara J Bone, has neglected to do their jobs to the fullest capabilities and being honest and just to those that they serve!

They all have not serve the community as they are expected to do! This is including the Court! DHS! Therapist! CASA! Everyone that are involved with this case. Everyone of them have failed  my precious grandchildren! And our family!

I am financially established totally! I am independent! I don’t need any assistance from any agency  in taking care grand of my grandchildren! I don’t need not no ones hard-earned money to provide for my dear and precious grandsons! NO! Not anything at all.

My grandchildren are loved, wanted and missed! As a grandmother! I will  never ever forget my dear and precious grandsons! They are not forgotten! Never! Will they ever be forgotten!  My life and my family’s life hasn’t been the same, since they were taken from their home and family  on March 2 2006.

Passed the word, Spread the word, Tweet the word,  That Oklahoma Foster Care and Oklahoma Family Court is Corrupt! Judge Richard Kirby isn’t helping families, he hasn’t done his job as it is described in his OATH!

Children deserve to be with family and not in the foster care system for years and years.  My grandchildren have been in the system for the past 6 years!! Grandparents deserve to have that right to help their grandchildren. Judge Richard W Kirby denied me that right!! The System is broken! Broken!

I haven’t hugged my grandchildren in over 2 years. Nor have I seen their little smiling faces! We have lost so much in these past 6 years.  Oklahoma DHS has stolen 6 years of our family’s life. Truly a horrible Nightmare!

A mother’s love and A grandmother’s  love lasts forever!

In closing! I am asking everyone to please keep me and my grandsons in prayer! For we are experiencing some emotional pain by the system that is broken! For they have kept my grandchildren in foster care for 6 long years with no contact with family! Please pray that my grandchildren will be released soon, be reunited with family.
